The basics
Flood water and groundwater
Flooding can do serious damage to homes, businesses and building sites. Even after the rain stops, water can sit in basements, plant rooms, lift pits and excavations, and the longer it stays there, the more damage it does.
Once the water is out, a CCTV drain survey can show whether blocked or damaged drains caused the flooding. We also empty pump stations, clear gullies that have backed up and empty ponds and swimming pools.
We do this work across Surrey, West Sussex, East Sussex, Kent, Hampshire and London, with tankers and engineers in each area most days.
We remove standing water quickly using vacuum tankers, taking it away from your property so it can't flow back in. Our tankers can reach water in awkward places, like basements and pits, that ordinary pumps struggle with.
As well as storm water, we deal with rising groundwater, water from burst pipes and water that's been contaminated with sewage.

Flood and groundwater FAQs
When do I need flood or groundwater removal?
Whenever water has collected somewhere it shouldn't, like a basement, plant room, lift pit, excavation or low-lying area, after heavy rain, a burst pipe, failed drainage or rising groundwater. The sooner it's removed, the less damage it does.
What are the signs of a groundwater problem?
Water appearing in basements or pits without an obvious leak, damp walls below ground level, water rising in excavations and pump station alarms after wet weather can all point to high groundwater.
What does your flood and groundwater removal service include?
We send tankers and engineers to remove the standing or seeping water, along with any silt and debris, and take it away for disposal at a licensed facility. We can then investigate the cause and recommend how to stop it happening again.

What if the flood water has sewage in it?
Keep people and pets away from it and don't try to clear it yourself. We'll remove it and take it to a licensed facility, and can then find and fix the cause.
What should I do before you arrive?
If it's safe, turn off the electricity to the flooded area, keep everyone away from the water and clear a route for our hoses. If there's any chance of sewage or chemicals in the water, tell us when you call.
