The basics

Why service a pump station?

Your pump station works hard, often several times an hour, day and night. Pumps, floats, valves and controls all wear, and the chamber slowly fills with rags, fat and grit.

We can empty the wet well on the same visit. If we find a fault, we can carry out pump station repairs or replace the control panel.

We do this work across Surrey, West Sussex, East Sussex, Kent, Hampshire and London, with tankers and engineers in each area most days.

A service checks every part, clears what shouldn’t be there and tests that everything switches on and off when it should. It’s far cheaper than an emergency call-out, and it makes your pumps last longer.

    Pumps and controls are made safe before we start.

  2. We clean and inspect

    We clear debris and build-up, and inspect the chamber, pumps and pipework.

  3. We test everything

    Each pump, float, valve and alarm is tested, and we check the pumps are moving the water properly.

  4. We report back

    A clear report with anything that needs repairing or upgrading.

Do I need to service my pump station?

Yes. Regular servicing prevents most failures, keeps running costs down and avoids emergency call-outs and flooding.

How often should I book a service?

Once a year for most homes. Busy, shared and commercial pump stations usually every three to six months.

Does a service include emptying?

We clear debris as part of the service. If the chamber needs a full empty, we can arrange a tanker for the same visit.

How long does a service take?

Usually an hour or two for a domestic pump station, longer for larger commercial stations.

What if you find a fault?

Our engineers carry most common parts, so we fix what we can on the day. Anything bigger, we’ll quote for and book in.
